Grace Hotel Santorini:
Honeymoon Bliss with Dreams of Returning as a Family
Few places in the world capture romance as effortlessly as Santorini, and for our honeymoon we chose the stunning Grace Hotel, part of the Auberge Resorts Collection. Located in Imerovigli, right in the middle of the island, it’s the perfect base to explore both ends of Santorini. If you picture the island shaped like a croissant, Grace sits right in the center, giving you equal access to the charming towns of Oia on one side and Fira on the other.
The views from the property are surreal. Directly ahead rises a dramatic rock formation that looks like a volcano, and yes, you can even hike it. From sunrise to sunset, the panorama feels like living inside a postcard.
Our suite was beyond spectacular. With its own private jacuzzi overlooking the caldera, every moment felt cinematic. The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and gave us the privacy and comfort you dream about for a honeymoon. Waking up to that view was unforgettable.
What truly set Grace Hotel apart, though, was the service. By the second day, the staff remembered we loved their tzatziki and brought it to us before we even ordered, as if they could read our thoughts. Every detail was attentive, warm, and genuinely personal. Breakfast by the infinity pool, with the endless view of the Aegean Sea, remains one of the most memorable meals of our lives. I honestly cried when it was time to leave—it was that special.
Even though this trip was before having kids, I was delighted to learn that Grace has a family-friendly villa within the resort. It gives me hope that one day we’ll return, this time with the kids, and create new memories in this extraordinary place.
Tips for Couples and Families
For couples: book a suite with a private jacuzzi for the ultimate romantic escape. This hotel is ideal for honeymoons, anniversaries, or any once-in-a-lifetime celebration.
For families: consider the villa, which is designed with space and comfort in mind, so you can enjoy Santorini with kids while still having access to Grace’s luxury amenities.
Location-wise, being in the middle of the island makes it much easier to explore both sides without long commutes.
